The Zambian international is leading the goal scoring chats with 13 goals.
“The coach (Muhsin Ertugral) has contributed a lot, as well as my teammates,” Mbesuma told AfricanFootball.com.
“Everyone has contributed, it’s not just myself – it’s good to be scoring.”
Mbesuma was called up to the Zambian national team that took part in the recent 2017 Africa Cup on Nations qualifiers.
Chipolopolo’s next assignment will be against Guinea-Bissau in June, Mbesuma stressed the importance of this clash.
“I am happy with the national team, we are a point behind the leaders – we have to win the next game.
“For sure (we can qualify), we haven’t lost – one win and draw from our last two games should be enough, two wins would be ideal.”
Zambia are tied on six points with Congo, while Guinea-Bissau tops the group with seven points.
