Stars have won two domestic cup competition in 2013, when they beat Orlando Pirates in the finals of the Telkom and MTN 8 Cup to place a pair of trophies in their cabinet.

The Nedbank title is the only accolade that the Rustenburg outfit hasn’t won, Cavin Johnson’s right hand man believes this is the season for them to win it.

“This Nedbank Cup has been eluding us for a long time. We want to do well. We want to go to the next stage. We want to go to the finals. We want to do much better in this competition. This is an opportunity for us to do well when we play against Polokwane City. The players are prepared. They know what is at stake. We really want to do well. We are working very hard for this game. It’s a cup game. The must be a winner. We are working on extra time, penalties and everything because we want to win this game,” said Jackson.
