Ea Lla Koto will resume their season after the international break with a cup fixture against the People’s Team at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

Stars eliminated a side from the Mother City at the same venue in the round of 32 when they beat Ajax Cape Town 2-1 to advance.

“It’s not going to be a walk in the park,” Mbhele said. “We are expecting a tough match against Santos. They have nothing to lose so that makes them dangerous. It also looks like they are out of the race for promotion so an extended run in the Nedbank Cup will keep their season alive,” he told the club’s website.

“Let’s not forget also that they will field their strongest and most competitive team as the Under-23 rule does not apply to cup competitions.

“We worked hard during the international break, building up to this match, so we are ready for Santos,” added Mbhele.

“We have a wonderful opportunity to go far in this completion, hopefully all the way to the final.”
