Polokwane City Goalkeeper, George Chigova believes their side is capable of winning their tie against Platinum Stars when the sides meet in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday.

“In my opinion this match favours us. You know Cup competitions are a merge of Premier League players with those of Multi-choice-Diski-Challenge. And we are strong in both sides given how our MDC side has performed this season” Said Chigova.

“With that said, I don’t see the encounter with Dikwena as a threat. This match is of the outmost importance to us and we will make sure we come out victorious.”

City made it to this round having edged out African All Stars 2-0, while Stars had to go through penalty shoot-out against a second division club Steenberg United to book a spot in the last 16 of the competition.
