Football isn't on, but football never dies. There may be a delay to the restart of the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League season, but there is still plenty going on off the field in the game in this country, enough to make one's eyes dart frantically in various directions. As if life, in these anxiety-inducing times, doesn't inflict enough stress on our precious souls.

The South African Football Association, for one, are very busy, telling us at every opportunity that their referees are getting ready to go for a season restart, while also fending off allegations that Safa president Danny Jordaan has now been reported to the Fifa Ethics Committee. It won't surprise me if he has. I mean, they say there is no smoke without fire, and there has been so much smoke around Jordaan in recent years that it is surprising he hasn't collapsed from carbon monoxide poisoning. But let's not dwell there, let's take a look at the season restart and...
