We need to start on a good note – Khune

Bafana take on the Stallions in Ouagadougou at 8pm tonight.

Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune says it is important for Bafana Bafana to start their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign on a good note by beating Burkina Faso tonight.

“It is critical that we start this drive with a good result and the rest will follow,” said Khune.

Khune added that it was up to the national team players to implement what Safa president Danny Jordaan told them to do.

Jordaan told Bafana Bafana that they could be a team to beat on their day, but they need to be consistent.

“Jordaan spoke how on our day we can be the team to beat but that we need to do that on a constant basis. Those were words of wisdom from Dr Jordaan and it is now up to us to implement what he encouraged us to do – make the country proud.”
