In an interview with CNN the elementary teacher explained how it was her wife who, after hearing how she kept on expressing how she’s missing her students, created a smart way for her to get to hug them again.

After being inspired by families using similar ways to hug each other on Tik Tok, Shelby Pavelka made the plastic quarantine hug suit, complete with armholes, using 12 reusable bags which serve as a plastic barrier to enable her wife Kelsey Pavelka to safely hug her students who stopped by to visit her.  “Most students ran up to my door squealing! Then we hug a bunch of times and talk about all the things we’ve been doing. There’s usually a lot of jokes told and dance moves on display!”, Pavelka told CNN.
