Puppet show
December is a great time to spend with the family. There is always lots to do, and we are all just unwinding and taking it easy. These holidays are all about family time and below are some events you can take the young or older kids to.
Festive Puppet Show
When: 9 – 15 December 2019

Venue: The Boardwalk Amphitheatre, Port Elizabeth
A puppet show is a perfect way to bond with the family and have a good laugh. The Boardwalk will also have other fun activities like Adventure Walk and Go Karting, amongst a few other fun things. Proceeds from the puppet show will be donated to the Khayalethu Youth Centre.

The resort’s Festive Season Programme kicks off officially on 6 December 2019 with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 19h00 outside the Welcome Centre and is free for all guests to attend.
For the little ones, Kamp Kwena offers a Festive Season Programme from 7 December 2019 to 12 January 2020. There are super activities for children aged 3 to 12 daily. Look forward to fun including marshmallow braais, bumper boats, treasure hunts and mini-discos, a kiddies Christmas party with snow on the Cabanas Lawns and pool deck activities. A crèche facility as well as child care on an hourly basis is also available. Holiday entertainment programmes are available to guests at all hotel Concierge desks.
SPAR’s Carols by Candlelight with Jacaranda FM Party

Price: Free, but bring a toy for donation

In the spirit of giving, SPAR and Jacaranda FM are bringing their annual Carols by Candlelight in hopes to collect toys for underprivileged kids. SPAR will also have a kiddie’s corner with fun games for them to play and some face painting fun. They will also be selling candles for R30 and songbooks for R10. Proceeds will go to Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr.
When: Ends 22 December 2019
Time: 9:00 am and 11:00 am (Monday-Friday) 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM (Weekend and public holidays)
Price: R140 (adults) R100 (People’s Theatre kids Club member)
Venue: People’s Theatre, Johannesburg
Take a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the beloved film version of Ian Fleming’s children’s book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. is a family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find “Truly Scrumptious.”
