We salute honest police officers
The officers were offered a bribe of R1 million each and they responded by arresting the suspect.

You might say that police dog unit Warrant Officer Jay Marian is a man in a million. But then you’d also have to say that about his patrol partner, Sergeant Leroy Boucher.
The two cops were patrolling the streets of Pietermaritzburg this week when they came upon a Range Rover stuck on the side of the road with a shredded tyre.
When they approached the stranded motorist, they noticed he was a suspected drug dealer and that there were piles of cash on the floor of the vehicle. There was also a haul of cocaine in the car.
The criminal was unfazed and offered the cops a bribe of R1 million each. Their response: they arrested him and handcuffed him and took him away to face justice.
Finding honest cops in this day and age is like a rainstorm in a drought. It brings you hope.
It is a reminder that, no matter how many horror stories we hear about corrupt and inefficient police officers, just as many of our men and women in blue do the job because they believe they can make South Africa a better, and a safer, place.
