Woman stabbed to death in Sebokeng

The victim was on her way to get a taxi to the local gym.


A woman has been stabbed to death in Sebokeng, Gauteng, on Tuesday.
“It is alleged that the deceased was chased by an unknown man in the street, this is according to the residents who heard her screaming for her life. The suspect subsequently fled the scene and some of the residents came to help the victim.”
Lephoto adds emergency personnel arrived on the scene and declared the woman dead, Sedibeng Ster reported.

Sebokeng police spokesperson Captain Teboho Lephoto reports that police are investigating a murder case following the death of a 25-year-old woman who was stabbed to death this morning in Kanana.

The victim was on her way to get a taxi to the local gym.

“It is alleged that the deceased was chased by an unknown man in the street, this is according to the residents who heard her screaming for her life. The suspect subsequently fled the scene and some of the residents came to help the victim.”

Lephoto adds that emergency personnel arrived on the scene and declared the woman dead.

“A murder case is being investigated by the police and the motive is still unknown as the suspect is still at large. We wish to make an appeal to the public and anyone who might have seen the incident happen to contact the Sebokeng police on 016 988 1340,” Lephoto concludes.
