Widow’s bail application postponed again

The deceased was suffocated with a black plastic bag and strangulated to death.

The bail application for a 54-year-old widow and her two co-accused arrested in connection with the murder of husband has been postponed again in the White River Magistrates’ Court, Mpumalanga.

The three suspects Ethel Simangele Mdluli, 54, Peter Khoza, 52, and a 32 year-old taxi driver, Xolani Mngwenya, briefly appeared in court on Friday, where their case was posted for further investigations to May 3, Mpumalanga News reported.

Her husband, a 57-year-old school principal, Mvelase Solomon Mdluli of Mahlatse Secondary School, was suffocated with a black plastic bag and strangulated to death while watching the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) soccer games in his house in White River.

The deceased’s car, a television and a fan were stolen from the house. His car was found abandoned near Kanyamazane Police Station a few days later.
