An American ice hockey fan almost certainly finds himself in the proverbial dog box after lulling his girlfriend into a fake marriage proposal.
The unknown man, who supports the New York Islanders in the NHL, was caught on the popular “kiss cam”, where couples have to give a peck or a smooch if the stadium camera is locked on them.
He gives her a quick kiss before purposefully standing up to make his way onto the stairs, bowing down … and tying his laces!
Meanwhile, the poor girlfriend looked very excited, only to be left supremely disappointed.
She merely sunk back into her seat.

To make matters worse, the Islanders lost 2-1 to the New Jersey Devils.
