Outgoing Mpumalanga African National Congress chairperson David Mabuza has confirmed that he has accepted nomination to be elected as the ruling party’s next deputy president under presidential candidate Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s slate.
Mabuza has been reluctant about publicly pronouncing which one of the leading presidential candidates, Dlamini-Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa, he supports.
He opted to campaign for unity within the ANC, which saw at least 223 delegates in Mpumalanga vote for “unity” during branch nominations, but political analysts have been sceptical of his intentions.

When people call for you, as a leader you answer, without conditions. My desire to serve has no condition, I will serve where I am called to serve. Let's recapture the right path – It's a MUST! #Sisulu17
