Vorster, Scholtz climb world rankings

South African men's tennis players Tucker Vorster and Nik Scholtz shot up the latest ATP World Tour singles rankings, released on Monday.

Vorster moved from 540th to 480th spot on the rankings after he made it to the round of 16 at the Izmir Cup Turkey Challenger last week.

Scholtz claimed the ITF Turkey F31 title with a victory over number-two seed Remi Boutillier of France to climb 73 places from a 563rd ranking.

South Africa’s top tennis player, Kevin Anderson, remained in the top-20 on the world rankings with his 19th place.
