VIDEO: Three rob woman of wedding ring in PTA

The armed robbers seemed to have known what they wanted from the victim.

A woman was allegedly followed from the shops to a business in Heloma Street, Waterkloof, and her wedding ring was stolen on Thursday afternoon,  Pretoria East Rekord reports.

An eyewitness said three suspects in a black Volkswagen GTI had followed the woman and demanded her ring.

They put a firearm against her head. “She calmly gave it to them.”

The witness said the woman had a cellphone and other possessions with her, but they only wanted her ring.

“They must have known that she had a ring with her.”

Another eyewitness said a man who was parked next to the woman’s car tried to intervene. “He wanted to block the suspects, but his son had climbed out of the car and could not get back in fast enough.”

By this time the three men had sped off with the ring.

The witness said there were about 10 vehicles outside of the business at the time of the incident.
