Victim hijacked by alleged traffic officers

Investigations are ongoing after a victim was hijacked by suspects who posed as traffic officers in Krugersdorp, on the West Rand.
It is alleged the victim was driving through Chamdor on Thursday when he heard sirens and pulled over because he believed the siren was that of a traffic officer, Krugersdorp News reported.
He approached the suspects and noticed one of them was wearing a traffic officer’s uniform.
The victim alleged the man pointed a firearm at him and instructed him to get into their vehicle.
They then allegedly proceeded to tie him up and blindfold him.
The suspects drove to Soweto, where they dropped him off. The suspects allegedly took his white Ford Ranger with registration number VWK 354 GP.
The suspects were allegedly driving a white Polo Vivo. The registration number of this vehicle was not known at the time of publication of this article.
No arrests have been made.
