The #CodeClimber team completed their 9 Peaks on Sunday, July 16, in record time despite encountering extreme weather along the way, Letaba Herald reports.
The climbers set off on their attempt on Wednesday, July 12, from the base of the Iron Crown at midnight, and from thereon took the 9 Peaks by the horns.
The team, Adrian Saffy, Alex Harris, Tian Liebenberg and Sean Disney, was hit by horrible winds and rain while summiting their 7th peak, Kwaduma, in the Eastern Cape, and also had to trudge through snow on their final peak, Seweweekspoort, in the Western Cape.
However, they did not let this halt their record attempt and still managed to set a new record of 4 days 15 hours and 58 minutes.
