The bodies of two men who were stabbed to death were found in an open veld, near Ergo Road, this morning on the East Rand, Brakpan Herald reports.
According to Captain Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan police, “security personnel from the Sallies Hostel made the the gruesome discovery and alerted the police at around 7am”.
The victims, believed to be in their 30s, were each stabbed multiple times.

“They were stabbed all over – the head, neck, hands, everywhere,” said Van Staad, adding that a wheelbarrow, containing a 12.5kg bag of mealie meal, was found near the bodies.
Police suspect the victims, who are yet to be identified, were killed during the early morning hours.
The police are still on the scene, and a case of murder will be opened.
