Two arrested for Mooiplaas murder

Two men suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Mooiplaas, Erasmia, in Pretoria.

Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said the duo allegedly attacked the man on Tuesday evening at about 7pm, Rekord Centurion reported.

“The victim sustained injuries on the upper body and he was taken to Kalafong Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.”

The motive behind the attack was still unknown, Moloto said.

He said the two men aged 35 and 38, were arrested the next day following a tip-off from the community.

“The Erasmia SAPS detective team worked around the clock to make sure they were arrested and brought to book.”

He said the police caught the men in the nick as they were found packed and ready to flee.

The duo was expected in the Atteridgeville Magistrates’ Court soon.
