No more than a thousand supporters gathered inside Cape Town Stadium with about 30 minutes to go before Bafana Bafana's soccer clash with fellow group A hopefuls Mali in the second round of the African Nations Championship on Wednesday evening.

With the match scheduled for a 5pm kick-off, many supporters would still be at work or travelling to the stadium by the time kick-off came.
Bafana could seal early qualification to the knockout rounds by beating Mali, and is hoping for a draw between Nigeria and Mozambique in the game following South Africa’s.
