Ten people die in accident near Greylingstad

A head-on collision between two vehicles left 10 people dead, one of whom was a three-year-old child, on the R23 near Greylingstad, Mpumalanga, on Monday.
The accident sparked a fire, and both vehicles burned with the occupants inside, Standerton Advertiser reported.
According to Constable Albert Mkwesa, communications officer of the Greylingstad Police, nine people were travelling in an Avanza from Standerton to Johannesburg, and one in a newspaper delivery bakkie coming from the opposite direction.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, and the bodies had not yet been identified.
The road has been opened.
