Teenage boy killed in Benoni accident

A 15-year-old teenage boy was killed and five others injured when their vehicle overturned on the corner of Snake and New Modder roads in Benoni this morning.

Emer-G-Med Max Cohen said they responded to the emergency call shortly after 7am, Kempton Express reported.

“Paramedics found a car had lost control, veered off the road, collided with a tree and rolled multiple times, coming to a rest in a veld about 50m from the roadway. The teenager had been ejected from the rolling vehicle and was declared dead at the scene,” Cohen said.

Five other patients were injured, two of whom were critical. The patients were stabilised at the scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals.
