Some viewers of eNCA have not taken too kindly to the changes the news channel has made.
They took to social media to slam the changes that were effected from 1 May 2023.
The changes include a new logo, fresh uniforms for the presenters, and a new broadcast schedule for The Morning Show.
This show is now simulcast on both eNCA and eTV, airing from Monday to Sunday on eNCA and from Monday to Friday on eTV, taking over the slot previously held by ‘The South African Morning’ show, which aired daily from 6am-9am.

Despite the promises made by Cheeky Media CEO and ‘The Morning Show’s’ executive producer Yusuf Stevens to deliver top-notch news content in a viewer-friendly format, some viewers say will be abandoning eNCA. Instead, they’re flocking to Newzroom Afrika and SABC News, as the changes implemented by eNCA don’t seem to be to their liking.
Some didn’t hold back when it came to sharing their thoughts about the changes made by the channel. They took to social media to voice their opinions.
Many viewers are now considering switching to Newzroom Afrika and SABC News.
In comments, viewers expressed confusion about what’s happening with eNCA and many have already made the move to the other channels.
As criticism mounted, one Facebook user couldn’t resist poking fun at the logo redesign, quipping that the channel must be in need of a graphic designer, since the logo looks like it just crawled out of a coffin.

As with anything, there will always be those who love it and those who hate it – and the eNCA news channel is no exception.
Despite the influx of criticism, there are also viewers who are pleased with the changes. Some took to Instagram to express their admiration for the new look, and it seems they have no plans to switch to another channel anytime soon.
