Wits student dies after jumping from building in suspected suicide
Police are investigating the circumstances behind the alleged suicide.

Police on Sunday confirmed that a 19-year-old female student from the University of Witwatersrand died after jumping from a building in Braamfontein‚ Johannesburg, in an alleged suicide.
According to EWN, the student jumped from the sixth floor of a student residence on Saturday night. Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said police were investigating the circumstances behind the alleged suicide.
“She died instantly and the motive for the incident is unknown at this moment. A case of inquest has been opened and investigations continue,” he said.
