Isolated showers and rain expected in parts of Western Cape

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershower in the south.


The South African Weather Service (SAWS) expects isolated showers and rain along the eastern parts of the south coast in the Western Cape, where it will be cloudy.

Rain is also expected along the south to south-east coast of the country, with isolated thunderstorms over the eastern interior.

Tuesday’s weather forecast

Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm. The expected UVB sunburn index: high.

Mpumalanga: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, becoming cloudy in the south in the afternoon.

Limpopo: Fine in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

North West: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central part.

Free State: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.

Northern Cape: Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape: Morning fog patches along the west coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm isolated showers and rain along the eastern parts of the south coast where it will be cloudy.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly along the south-west coast, otherwise southerly to south-easterly The expected UVB sunburn index: moderate.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and cool to warm but cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, becoming south-easterly from late afternoon.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and cool to warm. It will be cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast but scattered along the Wild coast.

The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south-westerly, becoming easterly from the afternoon, but north-easterly from the evening.

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershower in the south.

The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-easterly, becoming gentle to moderate easterly to south-easterly south of Richard’s Bay in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index: very high.
