Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers expected in Gauteng

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has forecasted isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers over the eastern parts of the country on Thursday.
The weather service also expects isolated showers and thundershowers along the south and south eastern coast.
Thursday’s weather forecast
Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga: Hot in the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south-east.
Limpopo: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the east.
North West: Partly cloudy and warm.
Free State: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.
Northern Cape: Fine and cool to warm with mist along the coast and adjacent interior in the morning, becoming partly cloudy in the extreme east by the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be strong southerly.

Western Cape: Fine and cool to warm but partly cloudy along the south coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly but moderate south-westerly along the south coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: very high.
Western half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and cool but cloudy in places in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly.
Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but cloudy south of the escarpment. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming south-easterly in the north by afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index: very high.
