The South African Weather Service (Saws) has released its latest weather forecast for Saturday, 12 April 2025.
Saws hasn’t issued severe weather warnings but expects fog, isolated showers, and partly cloudy skies in several provinces this Saturday. Warm conditions will dominate most regions. Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s what to expect in your province on Saturday, 12 April:
Gauteng:
Residents of Gauteng can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm weather with isolated showers in the north. Morning fog can be expected in the south.
The region’s expected UVB sunburn index is “high”.
Residents should take the necessary precautions against prolonged sun exposure.
Mpumalanga:
Mpumalanga residents can expect cloudy conditions in the morning; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north.
Limpopo:
The day will be cloudy in the morning; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.
North West:
Morning fog patches await North West residents in places; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the northeast.
Free State:
Residents of the Free State will experience morning fog patches in the east; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.
Northern Cape:
The day will start with morning fog along the coast and in the extreme northeast; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.
Western Cape:
Western Cape residents can expect partly cloudy and cool weather with light rain along the coast, except in the west coast. It will be warm over the interior.
Eastern Cape (western half):
It will be fine and warm to hot.
Eastern Cape (eastern half):
The day will start with morning fog in places south of the escarpment in the morning; otherwise, it will be fine and warm.
KwaZulu-Natal:
Residents of KwaZulu-Natal can look forward to partly cloudy conditions with morning fog patches over the interior; otherwise, it will be fine and cool to warm.
