The South African Weather Service (Saws) has released its latest weather forecast for Thursday, 10 April 2025.
The weather service hasn’t issued any severe weather alerts but you can expect mostly clear skies on Thursday, with showers forecast for parts of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal. Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s what to expect in your province on Thursday, 10 April:
Gauteng:
Residents of Gauteng can expect partly cloudy and cool weather but hot in the north.
The region’s expected UVB sunburn index is “high”.
Residents should take the necessary precautions against prolonged sun exposure.
Mpumalanga:
Mpumalanga residents can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers in the Lowveld and along the escarpment.
Limpopo:
The day will start with morning fog over the west; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the Western Bushveld.
North West:
Morning fog patches await North West residents over the eastern parts; otherwise, it will be fine and cool to warm.
Free State:
Residents of the Free State will experience morning fog patches in the east and along the Lesotho boarder; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.
Northern Cape:
The day will start with morning fog in the southeast; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.
Western Cape:
Western Cape residents can expect morning fog patches along the coast and adjacent interior; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool but fine in the extreme southwest.

Eastern Cape (western half):
It will be partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in places south of the escarpment.
Eastern Cape (eastern half):
The day will start with morning fog in places; otherwise, it will be cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the north, where it will be cool.
KwaZulu-Natal:
Residents of KwaZulu-Natal can look forward to morning fog over the interior; otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool but warm in the northeast with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior.
The region’s expected UVB sunburn index is “very high”.
