Small hail expected in Joburg, cyclone Kenneth to move over parts of Mozambique today
Mpumalanga is also expected to experience thundershowers.

The South African Weather Service has issued a watch for severe thunderstorms in the city of Johannesburg on Thursday. A large amount of small hail is also expected to hit the city.

In Mozambique, “intense” tropical cyclone Kenneth is expected to move over parts of Mozambique later on Thursday.
“Wind in excess of 200km/h is expected with heavy rain and flooding as well as storm surge along the coast,” said the SA Weather Service.

Morning thundershowers were also observed over parts of Mpumalanga and fog over the central interior this morning.
However, most parts of South Africa are expected to experience a dry weekend.
