Severe thunderstorms with possible heavy downpours expected in Gauteng

The South African Weather Service has issued a watch for severe thunderstorms with possible heavy downpours over the City of Tshwane, City of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Lesedi municipalities on Thursday from 2pm.

Gale force winds were also expected between Margate and Maputo from tonight.
“Severe thunderstorms are expected over the northeastern parts of KZN from this evening extending into tomorrow morning with possible heavy downpours and strong damaging winds,” said the SAWS.
