Severe thunderstorms observed over Mogale City today
A watch for flooding and small hail has also been issued in the area.

The South African Weather Service has issued a watch for severe thunderstorms over Mogale City (West Rand area) in Gauteng which will usher in heavy rain today. The weather service has warned citizens to look out for localised flooding and small hail as a result.

In the Free State, severe thunderstorms were also observed over the southern parts.

The east side of Thabazimbi and parts of Bela Bela in Limpopo were also expected to experience severe thunderstorms with heavy rain. Localised flooding and small hail was also likely in the area.
