President Zuma took part in birthday celebrations while opposition parties took part in anti-Zuma marches.

While opposition parties continued with their calls for President Jacob Zuma to step down, the president on Wednesday took part in birthday celebrations at the Walter Sisulu square in Soweto.
The celebration rally was put together by the African National Congress and saw supporters come out in their numbers to celebrate the day with Zuma, who turned 75.
