WATCH: Woman hilariously recounts first visit to ‘fire, fire’ church

'I looked to the right, I looked to the left, and I said you know what, if you can't beat them, join them,' she says.

A video of a woman detailing her first experience at a “fire, fire” church is circulating on Facebook, and is bound to make your day.

“You know these ‘fire, fire’ churches where the pastor just shouts ‘fire! fire!’ and everyone falls on the ground?” she begins her story.

A friend of hers had invited her to a church in East London and told her a big pastor was coming from another country. The church building was big, and somehow when they got to the entrance, her friend decided to go and sit elsewhere, leaving her behind.

She then sent her a message asking where she was, but the friend told her to sit where she was and the two would meet after church.

“Because it doesn’t matter at church, whether your friend is there, you just bring your heart and let the Spirit work. She said: ‘My friend, go, go look for your heaven, I will sit here and look for my heaven this side’.”

She said there were more than 10 000 people in the building, but eventually she got comfortable and decided to forget about her friend.

“I was there in the spirit, and the pastor was doing the ‘fire! fire!’ thing. He would just say ‘fire!’ and people would just fall nje.”

She was standing in a queue waiting for the pastor to do the “fire, fire” thing, and she started looking for her friend again.

She said she hoped for the fire to find her where her friend could see her.

“So there came my turn, and so I saw the pastor go ‘fire! fire!’ and people were falling, and then it was my turn, and the pastor said ‘fire!’

“Yoh! I was so embarrassed that I did not fall; I remained standing, and the pastor kept shouting ‘fire!’

She stood there confused not knowing if she should just dive, as the fire was not working, and she did not want to look like someone who had evil spirits.

Before she could even “dive”, someone behind her pulled her, and there she was on the ground.
