WATCH: When Bathabile Dlamini body-shamed Malema in parliament

She further denied that she body-shamed the EFF CIC, saying she was only glad Malema had lost a few kilos.

A video of Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini showing she has jabs of her own has resurfaced on social, and it is hilarious.

The video, which has been edited, first shows the minister in parliament denying that she drinks alcohol, accusations she has been denying for a while now.

In the video she says: “I don’t know alcohol, I’ve never touched alcohol. And people who know me, they know that I don’t drink, and that’s it.”

She was echoing the words of her spokesperson, Lumka Oliphant, who once got into hot water when she defended her boss against people who accused her of being drunk while addressing a crowd. Oliphant said her boss did not drink alcohol, and if it were up to her, South Africa would be a non-drinking country.

The second part of the video shows the minister, still in parliament, responding to questions from an EFF MP who accuses her department of “cannibalism” for using CPS, a company that was unlawfully awarded the Sassa contract, to pay grants.

As she tries to respond to the questions, EFF leader Julius Malema can be heard in the background, to which Dlamini responds with: “Okay … shut up, you slender for nonsense.”

After responding, the EFF leader stands up and calls out the minister for “body-shaming” an honourable member.

He says: “Eh, Bathabile Dlamini, she was body-shaming another honourable member. So it’s very important that you ask her to withdraw that because body-shaming is a serious problem in this country.”

After being asked if she had body-shamed an MP, Dlamini denied it.

“I’ve never body-shamed him, but I’m glad that the honourbale member has lost weight. I’m very happy.”
