WATCH: When a public marriage proposal goes wrong

It is not advisable to take your partner to a basketball match in America if you just had a fight, as you might be unfortunate and be put on the spotlight with a ‘kiss cam’. During the break, the camera moves over the spectators, spots a couple and ask them to kiss, thus ‘kiss cam’.

On a recent Atlanta Hawks game, the Kiss Cam spotted a couple and asked them to lock lips. The couple happily did so, and then the boyfriend took out a ring from his pocket and went down on one knee.

It was such a perfect moment until another man gave the boyfriend a pat on the back, causing him to drop the ring. The scene became chaotic as everyone was trying to find the ring. The camera then went back to the court before they could find the ring.

Some have argued that the whole thing was staged. Either way, it’s still heartbreaking.
