Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan on Tuesday morning was spotted at the ANC’s national headquarters in Johannesburg, Luthuli House.
This follows his return to the country after National Treasury’s international investor roadshow was abruptly cut short by President Jacob Zuma on Monday.
Gordhan reportedly landed at OR Tambo International Airport at 10am this morning, according to a Reuters report.
eNCA reporter Thulasizwe Simelane, who is at Luthuli House, said the minister was due to meet with ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe.
According to reports, Zuma on Monday told senior leaders of the South African Communist Party (SACP) during a bilateral meeting in Johannesburg that he planned to fire Gordhan as finance minister.
