WATCH: Metro Cop crashes through wall of Roodepoort house
The crash was caused by a motorist who failed to stop at a stop sign, clipping the metro vehicle, which was driving fast, causing it to veer out of control.

Well-known local motor mechanic Francois du Toit was busy cooking on Sunday afternoon when an Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) vehicle crashed through his property’s perimeter wall, reports Roodepoort Record.

From what could be gathered from CCTV footage, a vehicle driving in Payne Street towards Corlett Avenue ignored a stop sign, and in the process clipped the tail of the EMPD vehicle that was travelling on Corlett Avenue towards Ontdekkers Road.
