WATCH: Manatee frightens a few at the beach
Footage shows a human-sized shadow swim slowly past beachgoers.
Florida beachgoers had a small scare when a shadow swam close to them in the ocean.
When they realised the shadow was not a shark, they all breathed a sigh of relief. Footage shows the shadow of a manatee slowly making its way past the swimmers.

Manatees are known to be gentle giants who move slowly underwater. They are, however, known to flock towards human activity.
Manatees’ biggest threat are motorboats as nearly 60 manatees have died this year after being hit by boats.
