WATCH: Drunk man tells Comrades runners they’re ‘slow’

As if the poor runners were not exhausted enough, this beer-holding man decided to rock up at the Comrades route to 'cheer them on'.

A video of a man who decided to drink a glass (or a few bottles) or two before going to one of the Comrades Marathon checkpoints to finish up one last quart as he ‘encourages’ the runners has emerged.

In the hilarious video, the man, in a red T-shirt, can be seen shouting at the runners, telling them there was not enough time left to get to their destination.

“What time is it?!” he asks them, further saying they’re “too slow”.

He then continues to thank one runner who clearly, according to him, heeds his call to run faster.

As one runner passes him walking, the drunkard does not seem impressed, so he shouts at him.

“You’re walking!? You came here to walk here? Just walk. Walk!” he tells the man, who is clearly exhausted.
