A video of an allegedly drunk traffic cop in full uniform is making rounds on social media. The officer is understood to be from Mpumalanga.
In the video, the officer is seen walking inside what looks like a hardware shop.
“The traffic officer walking in my shop, drunk on duty, he doesn’t know where he is, and this is how you regulate,” says the owner while taking the video.
“Who are you sir?” the questions.

There have been many critics on Twitter with some calling for the state to have a council unit that focuses on trauma and stress for public servants.
Some of the tweeps defended the cop saying that the video is not conclusive. “What if he felt dizzy… that is why he had to sit,” wrote the tweep.
Attempts to garner comment from the department drew blanks as phones went unanswered.
He needs help
