WATCH: ‘Blesser’ Serge Cabonge beaten for allegedly stealing R15k

While he says he is being falsely accused of stealing R15k, his accuser says R40k went missing from his bedroom after a night of partying.

Well-known blesser Serge Cabonge is reportedly nursing his wounds in hospital after being involved in a fight with a friend, who later accused him of stealing money.

Cabonge and his friend known as Tony K went out partying at the Hydro strip club in Rivonia at the weekend when the two, along with a few women, decided to take the party to Tony K’s house, which is not far from the club.

Tony K told the Daily Sun that though the two came from Angola, he could not trust his friend anymore.

He further claimed when the women wanted money, he went upstairs with his friend to take money that they counted and gave to the women.

Cabonge has been accused of going back to the room later on claiming he wanted to make a phone call. He then left before the partying started.

“But in the morning, R40 000 was gone, and he is the only one who went up to my bedroom. I called him and he came, but denied taking my money. He pulled a knife on me. I called my friends, and he ran off.

“He climbed over a high wall of my complex. That is where he fell and hurt himself. He just lay there, and that is when I called the paramedics,” he was quoted as saying by the tabloid.

However, Cabonge told the tabloid that Tony K was the one who hit him with a bottle in his left ear, though he admitted to throwing plates at his friend.

“He beat me in front of the girls. He accused me of stealing R15 000,” he was quoted as saying.

He said he would open a case against his friend, who he said did not have money, as he did not have a job.

“He comes to me to buy him groceries. Sometimes I pay the Uber driver when he doesn’t have money,” he said.
