WATCH: Bathabile Dlamini says she will miss Zuma’s ‘openness’

Delivering his political report on Saturday, Zuma said he held no grudges against his adversaries.

ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) president Bathabile Dlamini says she will miss President Jacob Zuma’s openness and ability to accept his detractors without bearing any grudges, as he prepares to step down as the governing party’s leader.

Speaking to the media on Sunday morning, on the sidelines of the ANC’s 54th elective conference at Nasrec, Dlamini sang Zuma’s praises saying he fully understood rural and working class issues.

“Being open, accepting everyone, not getting angry with the people who do not want to see him [lead],” she said.

Asked whether she thought Zuma was “a nice guy to work with”, Dlamini said he was “an ordinary man who is the president of the ANC who has at all times, even difficult times, calmed down”.
