Public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane woke up on Wednesday morning and decided to encourage the public with a Bible scripture, but we doubt she had anticipated the responses she got.
“For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17,” wrote the public protector.
While some thanked her for sharing the scripture with them, encouraging her to carry on doing the Lord’s work protecting the public, others threw in their own scriptures sending a message to her.
These were the scriptures she received in return:
“Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.”
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” – Isiah 5:20
“If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?” – 1 Timothy 3 1-5
“If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his officials will be wicked.” – Proverbs 29:12
