Three arrested after wild car chase and crash
Police found that in their haste the car thieves had left one of their accomplices behind and he was promptly arrested.

Three suspected car thieves’ criminal careers were abruptly ended this past Saturday (4 February) due to their lacking driving skills in West Rand, Roodepoort Record reports.
Their woes started at about 10am after they stole a vehicle at a bottle store on Hinda Street.
The police and Apcan Security were alerted and rushed to the scene. They found that in their haste the car thieves had left one of their accomplices behind and he was promptly arrested.

A car chase ensued from Roodepoort West to Wilro Park. At about noon, with the police and security company in hot pursuit, the two criminals sped down Mimosa Street but at the T-junction with Crous Drive they lost control and crashed into a lamp post.
