Victim in critical condition after Erasmia fire
Emergency services are still looking for a person believed to have been trapped inside the burnt building.

Paramedics and firefighters are searching for a person believed to have been trapped inside a building when it caught fire in Erasmia on Monday morning, reports Centurion Rekord.
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Johan Pieterse said one person was in critical condition following the fire and was transported to a hospital. It is reported by Jacaranda News that the victim sustained burns to 80% of his body.

Emergency services responded to the fire at around 11.45am. Pieterse said the fire had been put out.
The building is a community centre that recently underwent construction.

The cause of the fire was unknown and subject to investigation. What has been confirmed is that the community hall, which is privately owned, was on fire due to an explosion.
A further six construction workers also reportedly experienced burn-related injuries.
