Unknown suspects suffocate victim to death

The local police are looking for suspect(s) who robbed and suffocated an old man at his house on Monday night in White River, Mpumalanga, Mpumalanga News reports.
According Sergeant Cynthia Mbokodo, spokesperson for White River police, the body was found by members of his family and the local security company in the family’s lounge. His head was covered with a black plastic bag, and it is suspected that he was suffocated.
It is alleged the suspect(s) broke into the victim’s house.

They started in the bedroom, where the man’s wife was sleeping while her husband was watching the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) soccer tournament in the lounge. They allegedly demanded safe keys from the victim’s wife. When she told them the family had none, they demanded car keys.
“They tied up the wife with a rope on both her hands and feet and left her on the bed while they proceeded to the lounge, where her husband was,” explained Mbokodo.
The suspect(s) left the scene with the couple’s blue Hyundai Accent with registration numbers HWK 734 MP. Police opened a case of house robbery and murder.
