Two dead, eight injured in Nottingham Road car crash

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at about 6.30pm where the jaws-of-life had to be used to remove two people from the vehicles, ER24 spokeswoman Annine Siddall said.

“Unfortunately nothing could be done to save the male and female patients and they were declared dead on the scene. Four people sustained moderate injuries and four more sustained minor injuries.”

ER24 transported one female patient with moderate injuries to a nearby hospital for further medical care. Local authorities attended the scene and would investigate, Siddall said.
