Usually events like Sona start trending within minutes of airing on all the major television networks. It’s expected that thousands of people around the country will share their opinions on Twitter using the hashtag, sona2017, leading it to the top of the trends list. But the Presidency opted to take matters into its own hands, paying Twitter to promote the hashtag.
