Treasury unaware of ‘imminent Gordhan resignation’

Following reports that President Jacob Zuma has informed the top six that he planned to axe finance minister Pravin Gordhan amid the court case involving the Guptas and Gordhan, Treasury said it had not received a resignation letter from Gordhan.
“[There is] no such that I know of‚” said Treasury spokesperson Yolisa Tyantsi via text message‚ when asked to comment on reports of Gordhan’s imminent resignation, Times LIVE reported.
Gordhan has arrived at the Pretoria High Court, where he is expected to make presentations about him not being able to intervene in the matter of the four big banks closing their accounts with the Guptas.
