Train carriages set alight at Retreat station in Cape Town
Two fire engines, one water tanker and one rescue vehicle were dispatched to the scene. No injuries have been reported.
Train carriages had been set alight on Retreat railway station, the City of Cape Town’s Fire & Rescue services confirmed on Tuesday.
Fire & Rescue spokesperson Theo Layne said: “Currently two passenger coaches were set alight.”
According to him, the train driver confirmed that she noticed the fire between stations.
